Job summary

RSM UK Group LLP is offering a school/college leaver apprenticeship in external audit in Reading. You will start studying toward Chartered Accountant while gaining client-facing experience and joining audit teams on varied assignments.

You will predominantly be office-based or at client sites, with access to online learning and a tailored development programme. This role includes benefits and a pathway to professional qualification.

Qualifications

• Minimum UCAS points: 112 across 3 A levels or 104 across 4 Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers or an Irish Leaving Certificate.
• Existing permanent right to live and work in the UK for this role.
• Effective written and verbal communication to convey complex information clearly.
• Ability to analyse and interpret data to solve problems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills enabling relationships and staying calm under pressure.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and other offices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk-focused reviews of clients' financial records, processes and controls.
• Ensure accuracy of financial statements and build stakeholder trust.
• Study toward Chartered Accountant qualification and sit exams soon after joining.
• Become a key team member from day one and progress to greater responsibility.
• Work with a wide variety of clients, from owner-managed businesses to large groups.
