Job summary

DJH in Halesowen is seeking an Audit & Accounts Senior to join our dynamic Audit department. You'll split time around 70% on audit and 30% on accounts, delivering high-quality assurance for a diverse client base and developing strong technical skills.

The role offers progression for those pursuing ACA/ACCA, with exposure to UK GAAP and ISAs, supervision of trainees, and the chance to contribute to a supportive team culture and broader business impact.

Qualifications

• Solid audit and accounts experience gained in practice.
• Part or fully ACA/ACCA qualified, or close to qualification.
• Good understanding of UK GAAP and ISAs.
• Able to run jobs and review the work of others.
• Clear communication and ability to build client relationships.
• Detail-oriented with big-picture focus.
• Team player and supportive to colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead and complete audit assignments from fieldwork to file review.
• Prepare statutory accounts and support client accounts work.
• Be the first port of call for clients, building relationships.
• Review the work of trainees and juniors, coaching as needed.
• Spot opportunities to add value and flag them to managers/directors.
• Stay up-to-date with accounting and auditing standards for accuracy and compliance.
• Manage own workload and deadlines with progress updates.
