Job summary

DJH is seeking an Audit & Accounts Senior to join the Halesowen team. The role splits time approximately 70% on audit and 30% on accounts, offering broad exposure and the chance to develop strong technical skills across both areas.

You will plan, lead and complete audits, review work, and manage client relationships while staying updated on accounting standards. A supportive team awaits in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in audit and accounts gained in practice.
• ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) in progress or completed.
• Understanding of UK GAAP and ISAs.
• Ability to run own jobs and review others.
• Strong client communication and relationships.
• Attention to detail with big-picture focus.
• Team player willing to develop others.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead and complete audit assignments (around 70% of your time).
• Prepare statutory accounts and support with client accounts work (around 30% of your time).
• Be the first port of call for your clients, building strong relationships.
• Review the work of trainees and juniors, giving feedback and coaching.
• Spot opportunities to add value and flag them to managers and directors.
• Keep on top of changing accounting and auditing standards so our work stays accurate and compliant.
• Manage your own workload and deadlines, and keep everyone updated on progress.
