Job summary

Vaisto Recruitment Ltd is assisting a Liverpool independent firm to recruit an Audit and Accounts Director RI. The role offers a 50/50 mix of audit and accounts work, with equity buy-in available for the right candidate and direct exposure to strategic firm direction.

The successful RI will lead audits, manage a varied client portfolio, mentor staff, and contribute to business development to secure ownership in the practice.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified with RI status.
• Proven experience leading audits as RI.
• General practice background across accounts and compliance.
• Ambition to buy equity and shape firm direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead and sign off audits as Responsible Individual.
• Own a balanced portfolio of audit and general practice clients (~50/50).
• Act as trusted adviser to owner-managed and SME clients.
• Supervise, review and develop audit and accounts staff.
• Drive new business and contribute to the firm's strategy as a future partner.
