TPF Recruitment are supporting a highly regarded Chartered Accountants in Newbury in their search for an Audit Assistant Manager to join their growing team. This genuine Assistant Manager role involves leading audits, coaching juniors, and managing on-site and remote fieldwork, while fostering client relationships and ensuring

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a UK Chartered Accountants firm.
• Strong audit experience including planning, completion and file review.
• Experience supervising or reviewing junior team members.
• Good working knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Organised and commercially aware, able to manage multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Leading audits for a varied portfolio of clients across sectors.
• Planning and coordinating audit assignments to ensure high-quality work.
• Reviewing audit work by junior team members and providing coaching.
• Managing audit fieldwork on-site and remotely.
• Liaising with clients and building trusted relationships as the main contact.
• Identifying risks and resolving technical audit and accounting matters.
• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts in line with standards.
• Monitoring budgets, deadlines and project progress for delivery.
• Supporting managers and partners with advisory work and BD initiatives.
• Contributing to training, mentoring and development of junior staff.
