A well established accounting practice have a newly created role for an Audit Semi Senior to join their team. Well suited to an accounting professional with 18 months minimum experience in a similar role this position offers a full study package and ample career progression. This hybrid role will support the senior management team across a high profile client portfolio.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting in audit planning, preparing documents and helping plan the approach for audits.
• Visiting client sites (or remotely accessing systems) to examine financial data and controls.
• Checking for compliance with procedures and identifying weaknesses or irregularities
• Gathering financial data and checking it against records for accuracy.
• Recording day-to-day financial transactions.
• Assisting in drafting profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Helping prepare VAT returns and gathering information for tax filings.

The successful candidate:

• A minimum 18 months in a similar role
• Ambitious and currently studying or looking to study their ACCA/ACA
• A real desire to develop your career in accounting and audit!
