Job description

ConferenceCast is a provider of specialist audio visual services at conferences and other live events, with roots that go back over 60 years. We’ve stayed ahead with continual investment in the latest technology, and continually exceeding the technical expectations of our many long-standing clients.

As part of our expansion, we’re seeking an additional full-time Video Technician keen to develop their career further in the world of live events.

For this role, we’re looking for demonstrable experience with these key areas of technology:

  • Matrix switching (Analogue Way and Barco) with multi-output including PiPs
  • Live streaming (ideally with a range of platforms from high-end bespoke and Zoom Event/Webinar to mainstream socials like YouTube, FB Live, etc.)
  • Large-venue projection, projection mapping, and edge blending
  • Cameras (field and studio types from Canon, Sony, and BirdDog PTZ)
  • PowerPoint, Keynote, Playback Pro

Duties of the role:

  • Managing crew to support with load in and rig of equipment at client venues, testing all circuits and signal paths.
  • Operating the equipment on rehearsal and show days, ensuring adherence to the client brief. On smaller shows, liaising directly with them; larger shows will include a production manager through whom client contact is lead.

The role ultimately is about consistently exceeding customer expectations with superior technical delivery.

You’ll need to be a smart, polished individual with a keen eye for detail, confidence communicating with clients on site, and a calm head under pressure.

We serve a broad range of brands who rely on us to deliver their requirements to exacting standards in the UK and abroad, so a full driving license and availability for travel is also needed.

You may have a broadcast or live events background (or even both), so familiar with SMPTE and CTS standards, the interoperability of industry-leading hardware and software, and some awareness of the related technologies – that could be sound, lighting, or IT used at events.

You will be joining a team of dedicated specialists based at our main site close to London Bridge, with a lively and inclusive working environment. We provide ongoing training, internally and with key manufacturers, with paid time allocated to pass CTS accreditation.

We don’t take our success for granted and never rely on our past results as a guarantee of future contracts. The key to this is our staff, their skills, their attention to detail, and their dedication. So we hire carefully recognizing the value in accrued experience and the benefits to our clients of long-standing relationships.

If this sounds like you, get in touch detailing your experience, technical skills, and salary expectations.
