Junior AV Technician – Full Time
We are looking for a positive, tech-savvy individual to join us as a Junior AV Technician, working alongside Alasdair, Sam, and Nathan R. You’ll be a key member of our growing AV events team.
Your responsibilities will include delivering and installing sound, lighting, video, sets, and staging at high-end hotels, venues, corporate offices, and exhibition halls predominantly in London. You will operate equipment such as Blackmagic Design Production Switchers, Avolites lighting consoles, Allen & Heath Avantis & SQ digital mixers, and Qlab media servers, ensuring our clients’ events are technically flawless.
We seek ‘techies’ who are positive, team-oriented, and embody a ‘whatever it takes’ attitude. As this is a junior role, we will provide on-the-job training. However, a good (not perfect) technical understanding of at least one discipline (audio, lighting, video, set building, or power) is required to cover most of your role. We will help you develop skills across all disciplines to support our AV events.
We believe that extraordinary events start with extraordinary people willing to work hard. Our portfolio includes events for major brands like HSBC, British Airways, Amazon, KPMG, John Lewis, TikTok, Apple, and Google. Recently, we provided AV for the press launches of World of Warcraft, Black Ops 6, and the 2024 British Watchmakers’ Day.
We will teach you how to integrate into our team and encourage your growth — that’s been the Clownfish way since 2009.
Events can occur any day from Monday to Sunday. Shifts are typically 8-12 hours, including travel. Flexibility is essential.
