AV Support Assistant/Audio Visual Specialist/AV Engineer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an AV Support Assistant/Audio Visual Specialist/AV Engineer to join our London-based global law firm on an initial 6-month contract.

Summary:

Our client's IT team is responsible for delivering a responsive, effective, and timely IT support service to the firm’s employees and clients.

They devise and implement operational processes and procedures to ensure reliable and available IT systems for the firm.

The team consists of a globally-distributed group of Systems Analysts who handle work escalated from the Helpdesk and may escalate issues to Infrastructure or Applications Support teams. This position in our London office will specialize in meeting and conferencing technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver an excellent experience to users of the firm's AV and video conferencing technologies, including hardware (screens, audio, Polycom components) and software (Teams, Zoom, Webex, etc.).
2. Provide assistance or training to users and enhance the knowledge of our global Video Conferencing Advocates to ensure smooth operation of AV technologies, covering both room-based and PC-based meetings.
3. Perform preventative maintenance and develop regular checklists to ensure proper operation of meeting and conference platforms.

Experience required:

1. A minimum of 3 years of IT experience in a professional services environment supporting 1st and 2nd line support, specifically with meeting and conferencing technologies (Polycom, Crestron, Teams, Skype for Business, Zoom, WebEx, etc.).
2. Understanding of network fundamentals to diagnose and assess infrastructure-related issues.
3. Knowledge of MS Office (2016/365), Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
4. Experience with Remote Access systems supporting remote users.
5. Understanding of ITIL (v2 or v3); knowledge of ISMS/ISO27001 is desirable.
