Job summary

Audio Visual Recruitment Ltd is seeking a meticulous Service Technician for a global audio manufacturer in Leeds. You will diagnose and repair faults, perform firmware updates, and deliver expert technical support to the Customer Service team while maintaining QA standards.

Working in the Service Department, you’ll repair to PCB level when required, liaise with suppliers for information, and contribute to stock QA and service parts counts. A daily commute to Leeds is required.

Qualifications

• Audio equipment repair experience or qualification in Electronic & Electrical Engineering, Audio Engineering or equivalent
• Experience with digital and analogue audio products
• Good IT skills, including spreadsheets/databases
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
• Strong customer focus and commitment to customer experience
• Ability to prioritise multiple tasks under pressure
• Understanding of technical schematics and manuals
• Organised and methodical with attention to detail
• Self-motivated team player

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair product faults for in and out of warranty products
• Repair to component level using schematics and manuals
• Provide feedback to suppliers on recurring issues
• Repair to PCB level as required and coordinate with supplier
• Provide timely product support to the Customer Service team
• Test products to factory specifications after repair
• Provide reports and update Service Coordinator on inspections
• Assist with stock counts and QA documentation
