Job summary

Pertemps Swindon are recruiting a Saleroom Assistant for our auctioneer client near Cirencester, GL7. This permanent role offers a salary up to £27,000 depending on experience, with Monday to Friday 9:30 to 17:30.

You will unload, unpack and sort incoming items, prepare sold items for collection or delivery, assist with cataloguing and sale-room setup, help customers, drive the company van across the UK, and support security on sale days.

Qualifications

• Proven customer service skills.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks on a regular basis.
• Full UK Driving licence.
• Willingness to learn while supporting multiple departments within a team environment.
• Excellent communicator with internal staff and customers face to face and over the phone.

Responsibilities

• Unload, unpack and sort incoming items.
• Carefully pack and prepare sold items for collection or delivery to purchasers.
• Collect and prepare items for cataloguing, laying out and setting up sale rooms on auction days.
• Assist customers with collection items as well as viewing items.
• Drive company van to collect and deliver items from across the UK.
• Ensure security on auction days as well as assisting with phone and internet banking.
