Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is seeking an Attendance Team Officer to promote school attendance and process referrals for legal intervention. The role requires accuracy and strong communication in sensitive situations, with a focus on supporting families and schools.

You will provide administrative support, advise parents and agencies, and help prepare documents for penalties and prosecutions, while upholding confidentiality and data protection standards.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering telephone support or public-facing advice.
• Experience handling confidential information and data protection.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare documents for Penalty Notices, Notices to Improve and Prosecutions.
• Provide information and guidance to parents, schools and agencies about attendance.
• Capture, store and retrieve data accurately to meet needs.
• Support flexible working and hybrid options where applicable.
