City of Derby Academy is seeking an organised Attendance Officer to support the attendance strategy, monitor attendance and punctuality, and collaborate with students, families, staff and external agencies to improve attendance outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in a school attendance, pastoral or welfare setting is advantageous.
• Strong communication and organisational skills are essential.
• Ability to analyse attendance data and implement interventions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor attendance and punctuality and identify concerns early.
• Work closely with students, families, staff and external agencies to improve attendance outcomes.
• Support delivery of the attendance strategy and ensure safeguarding compliance.
• Assist with reducing persistent absence and promoting pupil welfare.
