Penketh High School in Warrington is seeking an Attendance Officer to remove barriers to regular attendance for pupils, families and partner agencies. You will use data to target support, run family outreach and help the school exceed national attendance figures for all pupil groups.

You will hold responsibility for improving attendance for a caseload of pupils, monitor daily attendance, liaise with staff and external agencies, and contribute to transition planning and Late duties.

Qualificações

• GCSEs including English and Maths are essential.
• Experience in a school or attendance-related service is essential.
• Knowledge of current attendance guidance and legal framework is essential.
• Understanding safeguarding responsibilities is essential.
• Strong written and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to handle confidential information sensitively.

Responsabilidades

• Hold responsibility for improving attendance for a caseload of pupils and families.
• Monitor daily attendance and record actions taken; produce reports.
• Work with families using outreach to re-engage pupils and remove barriers.
• Coordinate with school staff and external agencies to support attendance.
• Prepare materials for attendance meetings with staff and parents.
• Identify and access funds to support pupils where appropriate.
• Maintain attendance records and provide admin support as required.
• Contribute to transition planning for pupils with prior attendance issues.
• Participate in the rota for late duties and other duties as required.
