Kent County Council, West Kent KPAS, is seeking a proactive Attendance Officer to support a range of primary, secondary and special schools across West Kent. You will provide specialist guidance to improve pupil attendance, handle challenging conversations with parents, and collaborate with school staff to meet deadlines.

The role is term-time only (40 weeks per year) and involves travel across Maidstone, Tonbridge and Malling, and Tunbridge Wells.

Formación

• Experience holding challenging conversations with parents/carers and turning outcomes
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Good report writing and ability to meet deadlines

Responsabilidades

• Be named officer for a group of schools and provide specialist attendance guidance
• Travel across West Kent to schools and family homes as required
• Conduct investigations under relevant guidance and prepare detailed reports
