Job summary

Redborne Upper School and Community College is seeking an enthusiastic Attendance Officer to monitor daily attendance, analyse trends and collaborate with students, families and external agencies to remove barriers to regular attendance.

The role is full-time, 37 hours per week, term time plus 5 training days, with hours 8.00am–4.00pm (Mon-Thu) and 8.00am–3.30pm (Fri). Salary is Level 3B, points 6–8, with a salary range of £22,859–£23,594 depending on experience.

  • Experience working with children or young people in educational, youth work or care settings.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices and child protection procedures.

ATTENDANCE OFFICER

Start Date: November 2026 or ASAP

Contract: Full-time 37 hours per week. Term time only plus 5 training days

Hours: Monday - Thursday 8.00am - 4.00pm and Friday 8.00am - 3.30pm

Salary: Level 3B (Point 6 - 8)

Actual Salary Range: £22,859.00 - £23,594.00 (dependent on experience).

Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them succeed in education? We are seeking a dedicated and proactive School Attendance Officer to join our pastoral support team.

About the Role

In this vital role, you will monitor daily attendance, analyse data trends and work directly with students, parents and community agencies to remove barriers to regular school attendance. If you have strong communication skills, experience with school database systems and a commitment to student welfare, we would love to hear from you.

Working in a school requires you to have strong organisational and communication skills. There will be face-to-face interaction with students, members of staff, parents and external agencies.

Working Hours

Term time only plus 5 training days

Monday - Thursday: 8.00am - 4.00pm

Friday: 8.00am - 3.30pm
