Job summary

NHS Scotland is recruiting two Promoting Attendance Assistants based at Lister Street, University Hospital Crosshouse. The roles are fixed-term for 12 months, with 36.00 hours per week and potential job-sharing.

Driving licence is essential and sponsorship discussions may apply. You will support absence management across the organisation, audit processes, data gathering and formal meetings to improve attendance, in collaboration with managers and occupational health.

Qualifications

• Educated to HNC/HND level or equivalent qualification or experience.
• Knowledge of NHS Scotland Workforce Attendance Management Policy and its application.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent numeracy skills.
• IT, Internet and keyboard skills with knowledge of the full MS Office Suite.
• Knowledge of databases and HR information management systems.
• Strong communication skills, oral and written.
• Able to work confidently with a wide range of people and build relationships quickly.
• Influencing and negotiating skills.
• Flexible across all areas of work.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive absence management support to line managers and staff.
• Join the Promoting Attendance Team to ensure attendance management process compliance.
• Support formal meetings and drive improvements in attendance at work.
• Collaborate with managers, staff side and occupational health.
