Job summary

Shoeburyness High School is seeking an Attendance Officer to support student progress by working with the Trust, parents and students to improve attendance. You will be highly organised, proactive and have strong administrative and organisational skills with an eye for detail.

GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or above are essential. The post is a permanent, full-time appointment starting 01 October 2026, subject to safer recruitment checks.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) at grade C/4 or above.
• Strong administrative and organisational abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the progress of students by improving attendance with Trust, parents and pupils.
• Monitor attendance data, liaise with families and staff, and implement attendance strategies.
• Prepare reports and participate in safeguarding checks and processes.
