Job summary

Teaching Vacancies, in partnership with Shoeburyness High School and SECAT, is recruiting an Attendance Officer to drive student attendance by liaising with the Trust, parents and pupils. The role requires excellent organisation and communication to foster a positive school environment.

You will work within SECAT’s safeguarding framework, maintaining records and contributing to welfare reporting. A proactive, detail‑oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Essential qualifications: GCSE Maths and English or equivalent at Grade C/4 or above.

Responsibilities

• Support the progress of students by improving attendance.
• Work with the Trust, parents and students to achieve the best possible attendance.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and produce reports for safeguarding and governance.

What skills and experience we're looking for

The Headteacher of Shoeburyness High School and the CEO of SECAT are seeking to appoint an Attendance Officer to support the progress of students by working with the Trust, parents and students to achieve the best possible attendance.

You will be highly organised, efficient, proactive and have exceptional administrative and organisational skills with an eye for detail. You will have strong communication skills with an open and approachable style to foster a positive working environment. It is essential the successful candidate have qualifications in GCSE Maths and English or equivalent at Grade C or 4 and above.
