Job summary

WSP is seeking an Associate Waste Water Process Engineer to join our Water Engineering teams across major UK cities. You will deliver process design content for wastewater projects, conduct feasibility through to detailed design, and engage with clients and vendors to ensure value and quality.

Travel to sites is expected as part of project delivery. The role requires significant municipal water sector experience, the ability to lead process engineering, and strong communication skills to present

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering process engineering design for municipal water infrastructure.
• Ability to lead process engineering on projects or major tasks.
• Experience on studies, FEED, and detailed design for wastewater treatment.
• Ability to communicate confidently with clients and teams.
• Willingness to travel to operational sites and construction sites.
• Experience in a consultancy environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Produce process design deliverables including mass balance, P&IDs, and basis of design.
• Conduct outline or detailed process engineering design.
• Attend site visits for data collection and operator meetings.
• Support procurement processes with technical input.
• Lead multi-disciplinary meetings and liaise with clients.
• Provide guidance and supervision to junior staff.
• Ensure design integration with other engineering disciplines.
• Contribute to proposals, scopes, and project budgets.
• Liaise with clients to align needs with project deliverables.
