Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate who specializes in renewable energy to join our SES team. Our team has a national presence, and we welcome applications from candidates who can commute to any of our offices across the UK.

Your role will include:
  • Acting as the technical and project lead for grid-scale/Front of the Meter renewable energy generation and storage consultancy projects, primarily battery and solar power, with experience in other technologies beneficial.
  • Overseeing project delivery for your own portfolio.
  • Managing and developing key client relationships.
  • Commercial management of projects.
  • Resource management for the team.
  • Team leadership, recruitment, and development.

To succeed, you’ll ideally have experience with:
  • Grid connection applications, negotiations, and delivery processes for renewable developments (20-500MW scale).
  • Renewable energy and storage development, including market, commercial structures, and revenue streams.
  • Revenue opportunities such as grid services, ancillary markets, and auctions.
  • Feasibility, design, procurement, and operation of renewable and energy storage technologies (PV, Wind, Hydro, Battery Storage, Hydrogen).
  • Technical liaison with TNO/DNO, site viability, and development management.
  • Planning processes for various development scales.
  • Supply chain and partner engagement.
  • Understanding industry changes and opportunities.
Experience that is beneficial but not essential:
  • Business development and sales in the renewables sector.
  • Team operations and resource planning.
  • Management of junior staff.
  • Development of delivery processes and technical expertise.
