Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate who specializes in renewable energy to join our SES team. Our team has a national presence, and we welcome applications from candidates who can commute to any of our offices across the UK.

Your role will include:
  • Acting as the technical and project lead for grid-scale/Front of the Meter renewable energy generation and storage consultancy projects, primarily battery and solar power.
  • Overseeing project delivery for your portfolio of schemes.
  • Managing and developing key client relationships.
  • Managing project budgets and resources.
  • Leading and developing the team, including recruitment.

Ideal candidate experience:
  • Distribution and transmission grid connection processes for renewable projects (20-500MW scale).
  • Renewable energy and storage development, including market and commercial structures.
  • Revenue opportunities such as grid services and auctions.
  • Technical knowledge of renewable and energy storage technologies (PV, Wind, Hydro, Battery Storage, Hydrogen, etc.).
  • Liaison with TNO/DNO, site viability, and working with developers as a technical lead.
  • Knowledge of planning processes for various development scales.
  • Existing relationships with supply chain partners and industry stakeholders.
Additional beneficial experience:
  • Business development and sales within the renewables sector.
  • Team operations, resource planning, and project management.
  • Management and mentorship of junior staff.
  • Development of in-house processes and technical expertise.
