Responsibilities

  • Providing land assembly, acquisition and compulsory purchase advice across major infrastructure, regeneration and energy projects.
  • Advising clients on compulsory purchase strategy, including budgets and the effective use of statutory powers.
  • Securing access across third-party land to facilitate survey, construction and maintenance works.
  • Negotiating compensation claims arising from compulsory acquisition, temporary possession, access rights and construction-related impacts.
  • Providing valuation and wider property advice to clients, landowners and stakeholders affected by infrastructure projects.
  • Managing multiple projects, ensuring delivery to a high standard and within required timescales.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships whilst identifying and developing new business opportunities.
  • Supporting wider business development initiatives with Local Authorities, landowners and infrastructure clients.
  • Managing and supporting surveyors within the team.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior team members in their professional development.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement, including development of best-practice processes and effective use of technology.

What does it take to be successful?

We are seeking a motivated and commercially aware MRICS Surveyor with at least five years' post-qualification experience within

the rural, infrastructure or wider property sector.

You will have a strong understanding of compulsory purchase, compensation, land assembly and valuation matters, together with

sound knowledge of relevant legislation and professional standards. Experience advising on infrastructure projects would be

advantageous, although candidates with transferable experience from the rural or wider property sectors are also encouraged to

apply.

You will be confident managing multiple projects, delivering practical advice and building trusted relationships with clients and

stakeholders. Strong communication, negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to

identify business development opportunities and contribute to the continued growth of the business.

Most importantly, you'll be a proactive and collaborative team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, supporting

A full UK driving licence will also be required.
