Job summary

Chadwick Nott is assisting a leading international law firm in Bristol to appoint an Insurance Associate (4+ PQE) into its renowned Insurance & Reinsurance team. The role offers a varied caseload across professional indemnity disputes, FI and D&O claims, and complex policy coverage matters, with hybrid working.

You will work with market-leading clients and benefit from strong training and progression prospects, exceptional drafting and advisory skills, and a practical, commercially-focused

Qualifications

• 4+ years' PQE as a solicitor in insurance law.
• Experience advising insurers, reinsurers, brokers or corporate clients on insurance disputes.
• Excellent drafting and technical legal skills.
• Ability to provide practical, commercially focused advice.
• Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• Sound judgement and interpersonal skills; strong matter management.

Responsibilities

• Handle a varied caseload including professional indemnity disputes, FI and D&O claims, and complex policy coverage matters.
• Work on cyber breach response and emerging areas such as W&I, FinTech and Technology E&O claims.
• Develop a specialist focus or maintain a broad insurance practice while closely liaising with leading clients and market experts.

Chadwick Nott are instructed by a leading international law firm in their search for an Insurance Associate (4+ PQE) to join their highly regarded Insurance & Reinsurance team in Bristol.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a top-ranked practice that advises many of the world's leading insurers, reinsurers and brokers on complex, high-value and often international matters. The team is recognised for its commercial approach, strong client relationships and expertise across a broad range of insurance disputes and coverage work.

You will work on a varied caseload including:

• Professional indemnity disputes
• Financial Institutions (FI) and D&O claims
• Complex policy coverage matters
• Cyber breach response and coverage work
• Emerging areas such as W&I, FinTech and Technology E&O claims

The role offers the opportunity to develop a specialist focus or maintain a broad insurance practice, while working closely with leading clients and market experts.

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with 4+ years' PQE, gained at a City, leading regional or international law firm.

You will ideally have:

• Strong experience in insurance litigation, coverage or professional indemnity work
• Experience advising insurers, reinsurers, brokers or major corporate clients
• Excellent drafting and technical legal skills
• The ability to provide practical, commercially focused advice
• Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills
• Sound judgement and excellent interpersonal skills
• Effective project and matter management capabilities

You will be ambitious, collaborative and keen to develop your profile within the insurance market.
