Job summary

Refeyn is shaping the next generation of mass photometry instruments. The system engineer will translate product requirements into technical specifications, lead design decisions, and ensure integration of new modules into existing platforms.

You'll work with research, software, and operations teams to scope requirements and deliver customer-facing specifications for new products. A strong optics background and cross-disciplinary collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• BSc Engineering or equivalent.
• PhD in Microscopy/laser optics/Nano-optics preferred.
• Design/alignment/troubleshooting of optical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical insight to develop innovations in mass photometry and optical design.
• Design, build and troubleshoot prototype optical microscopy instruments.
• Analyze complex data from custom hardware to evaluate instrument performance.
• Collaborate with applications, systems engineering and software teams to deliver new designs.
• Define complex technical specifications and translate into actionable plans.
