Job summary

Built Alliance, in partnership with a growing independent consultancy in Altrincham, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor ready to step up to Associate. You will lead full pre- and post-contract QS services, drive cost estimates, feasibility reports, and tender documentation, while managing contract administration, valuations and final accounts.

You will engage with clients, contractors and design teams, influencing project and business performance.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying; MRICS or pursuing MRICS.
• Solid consultancy experience with strong grasp of JCT contracts and standard procurement routes.
• Hybrid working with MRICS status support; organised with commercial acumen to influence projects.

Responsibilities

Built Alliance are delighted to be working closely with a growing, innovative and independent consultancy in Altrincham to find a Senior Quantity Surveyor ready to take the next step up in their career to Associate. This is a move for a Senior QS who wants more responsibility, broader exposure and a bigger influence on how the business operates. The consultancy has a strong and varied pipeline across commercial, residential, industrial and mixed-use sectors, and this role sits at the heart of that growth. You will deliver full pre- and post-contract QS services, lead on cost estimates, feasibility reports and tender documentation, and take ownership of contract administration, valuations and final accounts. There will be direct interaction with clients, contractors and design teams, making it ideal for someone who enjoys driving projects forward in the room rather than merely supporting from behind.

You will join a knowledgeable, close-knit team of cost and project management professionals in a business that supports personal development and grants autonomy to make decisions. Hybrid working is standard, with strong support for anyone pursuing or maintaining MRICS status. We are looking for someone who is degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, MRICS or working towards it, with solid consultancy experience and a solid grip on JCT contracts and standard procurement routes.
