Qualifications

• MRICS qualification or working towards it.
• Experience in cost planning, tendering, contract administration and client management.
• Experience in commercial/educational/industrial sectors preferable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cost planning and tendering processes across live schemes.
• Take ownership of live projects and coordinate with the Director.
• Provide client management and ensure successful project delivery.

Based in their new office and team in Chorley, this consultancy have gone from a small independent to vastly growing multi-discipline who have delivered a wide mix of commercial, educational and industrial projects and with a strong pipeline ahead, they’re now looking for an experienced QS to work closely with their Director, taking ownership of live schemes while helping to shape how the team evolves.

You’ll be working across everything from cost planning and tendering to contract administration and client management. Trusted to deliver but supported by a Director who values collaboration over hierarchy. It’s a genuinely progressive environment, where ideas are encouraged, not boxed in.

The team has built its reputation on being practical, personable, and commercially sharp traits they’re looking to add to as they strengthen their QS function. You’ll be part of a business that’s big enough to offer variety, but small enough for your contribution to be seen and valued. Ideally, you’ll be MRICS (or working towards it) with a solid background ideally within a similar consultancy.

The main QS team are based within another North West Office so in theory, you would be their first Lancashire based QS hence why being experienced will be key.Commercial or industrial sector project delivery would be great however they’re happy to consider QS’s who have worked in other sector backgrounds.

Just as important is your ability to communicate with clients and take ownership of your projects, this isn’t a role where you’ll be hidden behind spreadsheets.
