Job summary

A leading global provider of clinical research services is seeking an Associate Project Financial Analyst. This role involves assisting the Operations functions through financial analysis, supporting project management in financial aspects, and ensuring timely month-end processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and presentation skills, along with a customer-focused approach. AAT/ACCA/CIMA part qualification is preferred, along with experience in finance and strong Excel skills.

Purpose

The role of Assistant Project Financial Analyst is to fully assist the Operations functions of CSMS through financial analysis and information; to support the Business Partner functions of CSMS Finance department, working with project management to run the financial aspects of their projects, as well as support to close the Month End Process in a timely and accurate manner.

Responsibilities

• Financial Business Partnering to include Key accounts, providing Monthly support to the Project Management team in review of the financial health of their Projects.
• Maintain monthly reporting and analysis of overheads.
• Month End Close processes and procedures for P&L including preparing relevant journals.
• Assist in the Audit of Projects and Contacts.
• Identify risks and opportunities and work with the business to ensure opportunities are realized and risks avoided or minimized.
• Assist cash flow and NBO (Net Billing Outstanding) management for all service areas.
• Develop Financial reporting and prepare Client Reporting where required.
• Be a strong team player, working within Finance and across the business.
• Continuously improve processes and systems.
• Perform other tasks as defined by the Associate Director, Finance and Finance Department.

Minimum Education and Experience

• Working towards or AAT/ACCA/CIMA part qualified.
• Preferably experience of working within Finance.
• Preferably educated to Degree level.
• Experience dealing with Project Managers.
• Strong Excel skills.
