Job summary

Lusona Consultancy in Edinburgh is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Associate to join its growing team. You will handle a varied caseload covering wills, trusts, executry and estate planning, with scope to supervise junior colleagues and work closely with seasoned practitioners.

The role requires a minimum of 4 years' PQE, strong client relationship and communication skills, and a proactive, organised approach. STEP qualification is advantageous but not essential.

An established and highly regarded Scottish law firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Associate to join its growing team in Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated lawyer looking to develop their career within a successful and supportive private client practice.

The Role

You will manage a varied and high-quality caseload covering all aspects of private client work, including:

• Wills and succession planning
• Tax and estate planning
• Asset protection
• Powers of Attorney
• Trust creation, administration and advisory work
• Executry and estate administration
• Elderly client matters

The role also offers the opportunity to supervise and mentor junior colleagues while working closely with experienced practitioners on complex and rewarding matters.

About You

We are keen to hear from qualified solicitors with:

• A minimum of 4 years' PQE in private client law
• Strong technical knowledge across wills, trusts and estate planning
• Excellent client relationship and communication skills
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
• A proactive, organised and commercially aware approach

A STEP qualification would be advantageous, although it is not essential.
