Job summary

QED Legal LLP is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to influence a thriving team in Aberdeenshire. You will manage a diverse caseload across wills, POA, executries, trusts, and succession planning while guiding less experienced colleagues.

This role offers a genuine route to Partnership with opportunities to build your profile in the local market, expand client relationships and shape the future direction of the Private Client practice.

Qualifications

• Strong Private Client experience with excellent client-facing skills.
• STEP qualification welcomed but not required.
• Ability to mentor/guide less experienced colleagues.
• Willingness to contribute to the growth and direction of the team.

Responsibilities

• Handle a varied caseload across Wills, Powers of Attorney, executries, trusts, inheritance tax and succession planning.
• Manage your own client files with autonomy within a supportive team.
• Provide guidance and support to junior solicitors and contribute to team development.
• Develop relationships within Aberdeenshire and the local market to grow the practice.

If you’re an experienced Private Client Solicitor looking for a role where you can have genuine influence within a team and see a clear route for your own career progression, this is a rare opportunity worth exploring.

You’ll handle a varied and interesting caseload across the full range of Private Client matters, including Wills, Powers of Attorney, executries, trusts, inheritance tax and succession planning. You’ll have the autonomy to manage your own clients and caseload whilst working alongside an experienced and supportive team.

At this level, however, the opportunity goes beyond managing your own files.

You’ll also provide guidance and support to less experienced colleagues, share your technical knowledge and play a part in developing the team as it continues to grow.

You’ll already have strong Private Client experience and excellent client-facing skills. STEP qualification would be particularly welcomed, although equally important will be your technical ability, your approach to clients and your willingness to become an important part of the practice.
