Job summary

Hoare Lea in the Southwest seeks an Associate Mechanical Engineer to join the Plymouth or Exeter team. You will lead large-scale projects, manage stakeholders, and ensure technical delivery across heating, ventilation, and building services within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.

You will work with Revit and AutoCAD, develop strategic concepts, monitor metrics, and mentor junior staff while contributing to knowledge sharing and risk management.

Qualifications

Proven experience as Mechanical Engineer delivering complex projects.
Experience with HVAC systems.
Experience in multi-disciplinary environment with internal and external clients; strong communication.

Responsibilities

Lead large-scale, complex projects and manage stakeholders.
Attend project meetings and disseminate briefs to the team.
Develop initial strategic concepts ensuring regulatory standards.
Monitor metrics and ensure technical delivery; mentor junior staff.
Support knowledge sharing across the Firm and disseminate best practices.
Be financially astute and monitor resources and fee expenditure.
Pursue innovative working methods and research to stay ahead.
Maintain industry reputation and risk control adherence.
