Job summary

Human Appeal in Manchester is seeking an Associate Manager (Student Societies & Schools) to support fundraising strategies, cultivate donor relationships, and coordinate campaigns in universities and student societies.

Reporting to the Fundraising Manager, you will help plan events, manage communications, and contribute to meeting fundraising targets with data-driven decisions. This is a fixed-term full-time role with a view to progression into a permanent position.

Qualifications

  • GCSE Mathematics and English are required.
  • Experience with donor management systems is essential.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office and social platforms for fundraising.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and promote fundraising activities in universities and student societies.
  • Cultivate donor relationships and coordinate campaigns and events.
  • Support planning, stakeholder engagement and data-driven decision-making to meet targets.
  • Adhere to fundraising codes of conduct and maintain HA’s public image.
  • Communicate effectively with the Fundraising Manager and team.

Associate Manager (Student Societies and Schools)

Here at Human Appeal we have an exciting opportunity for a Associate Manager (Student Societies & Schools) to join our team based in Manchester . The role will be worked on a full-time basis in the Office. You will join us on a full-time basis as part of a fixed term contract with a view to progressing into a permanent role. In return, you will receive a competitive salary.

As Associate Manager (Student Societies & Schools), t he Associate Manager supports the development and execution of fundraising strategies to secure financial resources that advance the organisation’s mission. Working closely with the Fundraising Manager and wider team, this role helps cultivate donor relationships, coordinate fundraising campaigns and events in universities and student societies, and manage s communications. The Associate Manager plays a key role in ensuring fundraising targets are met through effective planning, stakeholder engagement, and data-driven decision-making.

Key duties and responsibilities of the Associate Manager (Student Societies & Schools) :

  • Promote and wholly adhere to the fundraising code of conduct and best practice by understanding its ruling and conducting FR events within its parameters in order to safeguard HA, maintain high professional standards and maintain HA’s public image.
  • Develop, nurture and maintain relationships with current/potential donors, charity partners, organizations and businesses nationally, via community networking (face to face and social media) and creating a regular presence within respected regions across the UK, in order to establish trust, help secure donations and promote awareness across a wide range of target markets.
  • Education - Minimum GCSE Mathematics, English. Ideally educated to degree level.
  • Experience - Minimum of 2 years in similar post, proven track record of project and events management with a minimum of 2 years experience.
  • Essential Criteria - Computer literate and competent with Microsoft Office, Social Media, Donor Management systems. English Language Essebtial.
  • Desirable Criteria - Knowledge of additional languages such as Arabic, Urdu, Bengali, Gujrati, Hindi, Punjabi an advantage.
