Job summary

Human Appeal in London is seeking a National Mosque Manager to lead fundraising activities in mosques and related organisations. The role is office-based, full-time, with a permanent contract and progression opportunities.

You will manage campaigns, build relationships with mosques, recruit volunteers, and ensure ROI on fundraising efforts. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years in project/events management, GCSEs in Maths and English, and proficiency with MS Office, social media, and donor

Here at Human Appeal we have an exciting opportunity for a National Mosque Manager to join our team based in London . The role will be worked on a full-time basis in the Office. You will join us on a full-time basis as part of a permanent contract with a view to progressing into a permanent role. In return, you will receive a competitive salary.

As National Mosque Manager, d evelop, manage and deliver a range of fundraising campaigns, throughout the year, in mosques and organisations. Work closely with the London & South regional manager s to strategically lead and coordinate fundraising activities in mosques and organisations. Develop a database of mosques and organisations. Develop and deliver an engagement and retention plan to deepen fundraising relationships with mosques and organisation. Securing bookings for collections during Ramadan and other campaigns all year round. Organise events and tours for mosques throughout the year. Maintain good relationship with Mosques by frequently visiting and communicating with them. Recruit, develop and engage with mosque volunteers to support fundraising projects in mosques and organisations. Ensure that all available fundraising opportunities are successfully exploited and maintained at agreed levels of return on investment

Key duties and responsibilities of the National Mosque Manager

• Promote and wholly adhere to the fundraising code of conduct and best practice by understanding its ruling and conducting FR events and projects within its parameters to safeguard HA, maintain high professional standards and maintain HA’s public image.
• Maximise fundraising income and awareness for HA year on year, via; Managing and completing collections during Ramadan and all year round.Maintaining frequent visits and communicating with mosque key stakeholders. Creating a circle of mosque volunteers, and successfully utilising them.
• Establish clear lines of communications by being the main point of contact between local mosques and organisations and HA. This will involve negotiating agreements, generating leads, coordinating events, providing assistance /HA branding materials and liaising centrally with the Head Office Fundraising Department, in order to improve interdepartmental efficiency, maximize fundraising potential, and ensure value for money.
• Manage various engaging fundraising projects/activities in mosques by arranging dinners, events, speaker tours and conferences to capture and maintain the public eye throughout the year and raise income with a return on investment.
• Manage and nurture a network of volunteers in line with the volunteer recruitment strategy by collaborating with the volunteers coordinator, hosting recruitment events, providing training and HA materials,
• Help develop volunteer recruitment process for mosques, provide a mutually beneficial volunteers program, and support HA to gain loyal organizational man power .
• Provide support to FR colleagues when necessary by attending and contributing positively to FR regional/national meetings, understanding support needs and providing this to colleagues especially during peak periods ( e.g Ramadan and Winter).

What we’re looking for in our National Mosque Manager

• Education - Minimum GCSE Mathematics, English. Ideally educated to degree level.
• Experience - Minimum of 2 years in a similar post, proven track record of project and events management with a minimum of 2 years experience.
• Essential Criteria - Computer literate and competent with Microsoft Office, Social Media, Donor Management systems. English language.
• Desirable Criteria - Knowledge of additional languages such as Arabic, Urdu, Bengali, Gujrati, Hindi, Punjabi an advantage.
