HMRC is made up of Customer Groups which are working independently towards one common goal. Our role sits within HMRC’s Chief Digital & Information Office (CDIO) Group that delivers in-house solutions for projects and programmes that deal with a broad range of business, technical and operational issues. Our CDIO offices are hi-tech, state-of-the-art facilities that allow our teams to maximise their capabilities.
Our team, CDIO Borders and Trade is within HMRC’s CDIO group and we deliver IT projects that enable HMRC’s wider customs strategy and policies. We design, manage and maintain the IT services that support customs and international trade activities. Our team is made up of specialists in delivery, business analysis, engineering, and live service support. We work closely with stakeholders across HMRC to ensure our IT systems meet their needs.

You’ll work across CDIO B&T, wider CDIO teams, and external delivery partners to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery of digital products. This includes managing stakeholder relationships, leveraging supplier frameworks, and adapting delivery methodologies to suit project needs.
You’ll define delivery roadmaps, manage risks and dependencies, and align delivery backlogs with strategic priorities. Drawing on your technical expertise and experience with third-party management, you’ll champion continuous improvement and delivery excellence.
