Job summary

HMRC is seeking an Agile Delivery Manager to lead delivery within the Data Platform Services (DPS) delivery team. You will oversee project delivery, ensure governance, and drive improvements across a large portfolio in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with POD Leads, Delivery Leads and stakeholders to deliver high-quality digital services essential to the UK tax system, with strong leadership and hands-on delivery management.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Data Platform Services (DPS) working in the Project Delivery Team. This role is critical in ensuring successfulprojectdelivery across DPSbyprovidingdeliveryoversight,monitoringprogressandactively engagingin removingblockersandresolvingissues promptly.

Working closely with DPSPOD leads, Delivery Leads and keyCustomerStakeholders tomaintaindelivery standardsanddrive improvementsacross the DPS Project Delivery Lifecycle, fostering a culture of continuous improvements. Withapproximately150 deliveries inflight at any time,wearelookingforsomeone whois delivery focused,thrives in a fast-paced environment, stays ahead of challenges, and supports keeping projects on track.

As an Agile Delivery Managerwithin DPS, you willsupport DPSteams to deliver high-quality digital servicesthat fulfil business requirements andthat are essential to the UK’s tax system. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, anda hands-on approach to delivery management.

As An Agile Delivery Manager, You Will

• Maintain oversight of project delivery across a defined portfolio, proactively monitoring delivery performance to drive clarity, transparency and accurate reporting depicted in the DPS Delivery Performance Dashboards.
• Operate andsupport continuous improvements to the governance framework,includingDPS approval gates, weekly deliveryreviewsand full project lifecycle from initiation to close-down.
• Provide delivery assurance,working collaborativelywith POD Leads and Delivery Leads,supportingrecovery efforts when projects deviate from plan.
• Balance oversight on multiple deliveries across business lines,by monitoring and facilitating effective delivery progress, including identifying interdependencies.
• Proactivelyidentifyrisks, issues, and emerging trends across the delivery portfolio, providing guidance and actionable recommendations to mitigate or resolve them before theyimpact
• Support the implementation of DPS Delivery Standards and Project Delivery Lifecycle, working as a member of the Project Delivery Team.
• Collaborate with Data Portfolioto ensure stakeholders are kept informedon delivery progressand maximise closer working with CDIO groups and customers.
• Working with Senior Agile Delivery Manager to deliver theproject delivery roadmap and project dependency map.
