Job summary

Boeing Crawley is seeking an Associate Simulation Software Engineer to join the Global Services SW Engineering team, developing software that simulates aircraft systems and integrating components into a complete simulator.

The onsite role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, strong C/C++ and Linux knowledge, and 2+ years in flight simulation or equivalent, working in an agile, globally distributed team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree or higher in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• Strong knowledge of C/C++ principles and practices.
• Experience with Linux operating systems.
• Experience in agile development and cross-functional teams.
• 2+ years of applicable experience, or HND/HNC with 2+ years in flight simulation.

Responsibilities

• Generate, analyse, debugging, documenting and testing software that simulates the characteristics of aircraft systems based on system design documents
• Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
• Developing and executing test procedures documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met
• Developing, selecting, and deploying software processes, tools and metrics
• Supporting qualifications of full flight simulators
• Software integration and validation on local flight training devices and possibly other locations as required to ensure successful integration and acceptance of software
