Job summary

SERB is seeking an Associate Engineering Manager to lead the Engineering Maintenance function at the Wales Manufacturing site, ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable operation of manufacturing equipment, utilities, and infrastructure.

The role supports the Engineering Manager in delivering departmental objectives, driving equipment reliability improvements, overseeing maintenance execution, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead Engineering Maintenance to ensure safe, reliable site operations.
• Coordinate daily activities to maximise equipment availability and minimise downtime.
• Plan, prioritise and execute maintenance via CMMS.
• Drive reliability, asset lifecycle optimisation and reduced unplanned downtime.
• Develop maintenance strategies for critical equipment and facilities.
• Monitor performance metrics and improve asset utilisation.
• Maintain spare parts and inventory for business continuity.
• Provide coaching, mentoring and performance management for engineers.
• Support workforce planning and talent development within Engineering.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, compliance and continuous improvement.
