Job summary
Unknown company in South Wales seeks an experienced Senior Electrical & Instrument Engineer to provide technical leadership across electrical, control and instrumentation systems within a heavy manufacturing environment.
You will own and manage site electrical infrastructure, drive reliability improvements, and support capital investment projects while ensuring statutory compliance and high engineering standards.
Qualifications
- Technical expert in modern instrumentation.
- Competent in maintenance of electrical control equipment up to 11kV.
- Understanding of ladder logic and PLC maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Provide safety-first leadership at all times.
- Own and manage site electrical infrastructure and maintenance programs.
- Maintain electrical standards and drawings to meet regulatory requirements.
- Support Maintenance Supervisor in leading Electrical & Instrument Technicians.
- Support Engineering Manager in budgets for Electrical & Instrumentation maintenance.
- Identify and drive reliability improvements.
- Ensure capital assets meet life expectancy with controlled expenditure.
- Project management for small scale capital projects.
- Authorize Safe Work Permits for approved contractors.
