Job summary

WSP is seeking an Associate Director with strong experience in urban drainage and wastewater modelling to lead teams, guide project delivery and shape technical solutions for projects of local and national importance. This role offers a visible leadership position within our UK water team.

You will work with engineers and hydraulic modellers across the UK, supported by our Global Water Team, and contribute to projects for clients across Northern Ireland, Ireland, Wales and England.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Chartered engineer or progress toward chartership with ICE/IEI/IoW/CIWEM.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage teams delivering urban drainage and wastewater modelling projects.
• Support delivery through resource planning and technical review.
• Develop modelling capability using InfoWorks ICM and mentor juniors.
• Provide technical input on drainage assessments and delivery approaches.
• Apply engineering judgement to solve complex problems and develop practical solutions.
• Lead and support proposal development to grow workstreams and client accounts.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships at all levels.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and capability development in the water team.
