Job summary

WSP in the UK is seeking an Associate Director to lead our urban drainage modelling capability within the water team. You will guide a growing discipline, shape technical delivery, and influence project outcomes for clients such as Severn Trent and Scottish Water Horizons.

You will manage the delivery team, provide independent engineering judgement, build strong client relationships, contribute to business development, and represent WSP at industry forums while sharing knowledge across the wider

Qualifications

• Degree and chartered status, or progressing towards chartership with ICE/IEI/IoW/CIWEM.
• Experience with wastewater hydraulic modelling (InfoWorks ICM).
• Knowledge of Water Industry Specifications and relevant standards.
• Strong presentation and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the urban drainage modelling capability and keep the team ahead on methods and standards.
• Support the team lead with day-to-day management of the technical delivery team.
• Provide authoritative technical input on urban drainage projects with the wastewater team.
• Apply independent professional judgement to solve complex engineering challenges and drive innovation.
• Build strong client relationships and lead project meetings.
• Contribute to business development, proposals, and strategic growth opportunities.
• Represent WSP in industry forums and conferences.
• Share knowledge to develop the wider water team.
