Job summary

Arup is seeking an Associate Director to grow the Mining Centre of Excellence in the UK and support international projects. The role combines strong technical depth with strategic leadership to deliver advisory and design work across mining, tunnelling and underground excavation within a multidisciplinary team.

You will lead client engagements, build trusted partnerships across the mining value chain, mentor colleagues and drive Arup’s sustainable mining ambitions on projects in the UK, EIMEA

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
• Chartered status or equivalent professional accreditation.
• Significant practical experience in mining, tunnelling and underground excavation design or support.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and complex projects.
• Experience on international projects and client development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver advisory and technical projects across mining, tunnelling and underground excavation.
• Provide design leadership and project management for major mining/construction initiatives.
• Mentor and coach team members across senior and junior levels.
• Develop mining market strategy and client engagements supporting growth.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders across the mining value chain.
