KPMG's Strategy & Performance Transformation practice is looking for exceptional Associate Directors with a Financial Services focus (ideally Banking or Insurance) and experience of at least one of our core propositions: Growth Strategy, Deal Strategy, Cost and Operational strategy, and Enterprise-wide Transformation.

The Strategy & Performance Transformation team is part of KPMG's rapidly expanding Strategy Group, delivering value for clients by challenging conventional thinking, bringing deep industry and functional insights, and executing with investor-grade rigour. We are a diverse team of over 170 practitioners, collaborating with KPMG's broad capabilities within Deal Advisory.

Our team works closely with c-suite and senior executives to identify and execute transformation opportunities that add value for shareholders, employees, and society. As digitalisation and regulation create unprecedented change, our core services—Enterprise-wide Transformation, Performance Improvement, and Growth Strategy—are in high demand. We aim to create value by executing sustainable, fair, and profitable business strategies swiftly.

Roles & Responsibilities

Effective Associate Directors are expected to:

  • Build deep client relationships and be trusted advisors to senior executives
  • Support business development opportunities
  • Develop expertise in chosen propositions and sectors
  • Lead complex engagements and oversee delivery
  • Manage scoping and fee negotiations
  • Develop thought leadership
  • Maintain a strong internal and external network
  • Ensure risk management compliance
  • Motivate and develop team members, providing feedback
  • Lead practice development initiatives

The Person

Successful applicants will demonstrate:

  • Significant experience in strategy consulting or industry strategy teams
  • Understanding of value drivers in Banking or Insurance
  • Experience leading complex projects with multidisciplinary teams
  • Business development skills with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to build relationships with senior executives
