Senior Fixed Income Performance & Attribution Analyst - Global Investment Manager

London, hybrid

My client are seeking a Senior Fixed Income Performance & Attribution Analyst to join a high-performing team supporting the Europe and Asia business. This role combines technical depth in performance and attribution with leadership responsibilities, serving as a subject matter expert while mentoring junior team members and ensuring quality delivery of complex investment analytics. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical capabilities, fixed income knowledge, and stakeholder engagement experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Calculate, validate, and analyse investment performance & attribution across funds, accounts, composites, benchmarks, and custom indices.
• Lead the preparation and validation of fixed income attribution and advanced portfolio analytics.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Investments (PMs and IDs), Sales, Marketing, IT, and Operations) to deliver tailored performance and attribution insights.
• Construct, maintain, and evaluate custom benchmarks and portfolio structures.
• Participate in regular portfolio review meetings with the Investment Group, presenting performance and attribution findings.
• Apply forecasting models, statistical analysis, and deep-dive investigative techniques to complex performance questions.
• Research and resolve discrepancies in performance, working closely with operational teams.
• Use and develop tools for accessing, transforming, and interpreting large datasets; leverage BI tools and statistical software.
• Lead or support process improvement initiatives focused on scaling operations and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to policy development, documentation of best practices, and team training.
• Maintain a strong understanding of compliance regulations, ensuring accurate reporting and robust internal controls.
• Act as a key point of contact for complex performance-related inquiries internally and externally.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Significant experience in Fixed Income performance, attribution, and risk measurement.
• Strong command of attribution methodologies and the ability to explain performance drivers to investment professionals.
• CFA, CIPM, MBA, or other advanced credentials preferred.
• Proficiency in BI-SAM B-One, FactSet, Bloomberg, and/or Aladdin.
• Technical proficiency with SQL, Alteryx, TOAD, Python, Excel; experience with data visualisation tools a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities, with the ability to coach junior team members and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; confident presenting to senior stakeholders.
• Strong project management experience; PMP or Scrum certification is advantageous.
• A self-starter with strong business acumen and intellectual curiosity.
