Job summary

Chase and Holland in Scunthorpe is seeking an Associate Director in Accountancy Practice to lead a varied SME portfolio and oversee accounts and tax work. You will mentor colleagues and work closely with the Director to help steer the practice forward.

The role offers a supportive environment with opportunities to develop leadership responsibilities and contribute to growing the business, with a competitive package up to £50,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Minimum AAT qualification.
• Strong knowledge of statutory accounts prep, management accounts and taxation.
• Experience managing client relationships with SME portfolios.
• Ability to review work and support the wider team.
• Excellent communication and ability to explain financial matters clearly.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of SME clients and build trusted relationships with business owners.
• Prepare and review statutory and management accounts, and tax computations.
• Meet clients to discuss year-end results and future planning.
• Support and mentor team members through training and feedback.
• Assist with cloud accounting adoption and Making Tax Digital transition.
• Collaborate with the Director to drive practice growth.
