Job summary

SI Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Business Services Director for its Skipton office. The role focuses on owning a diverse client portfolio, leading a high-performing team and supporting growth through strategic client relationships and service delivery.

Reporting to the Partners, you will manage client relationships, oversee delivery of business services, and drive development of both the team and firm’s client base, while maintaining strong networking and business development

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or ICAS qualification.
• Significant senior-level experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and business taxation.
• Experience managing client portfolios and leading teams.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Commercial mindset with ability to identify growth opportunities.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of owner-managed business clients.
• Lead client meetings and act as main point of contact.
• Review and sign off accounts and tax work where appropriate.
• Manage fees and ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
• Lead, mentor and develop members of the Business Services team.
• Monitor team performance and support recruitment activities.

The Role

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• ACA, ACCA or ICAS qualification
• Significant experience within an accountancy practice at a senior level
• Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and business taxation
• Experience managing client portfolios and leading teams
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A commercial mindset with a proven ability to identify growth opportunities
• A full UK driving licence
