Job Opportunity: Associate Director of Quantum - Construction Disputes

The client offers opportunities to work on both domestic and international projects, providing industry-leading training and support to enhance your delay analysis skills.

This role is suitable for Senior Consultants seeking progression within Quantum disputes or Associate Directors with extensive quantum experience.

For this demanding position, strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential, as you will handle complex construction conflicts.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Lead drafting of expert witness reports for dispute resolution
  • Develop strategies to recover performance on distressed projects
  • Review project records to establish quantum related to claims
  • Conduct forensic analysis of contractual and claims documentation
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, including chairing meetings
  • Analyze project performance to identify root causes of issues
  • Provide strategic advice throughout the construction lifecycle
  • Manage cash flow proactively
  • Support claims development up or down the supply chain
  • Research emerging industry technologies
  • Mentor junior staff
  • Interface with clients and consultants at all project stages
  • Promote the consultancy's contract services in the industry
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Approximately 10 years of relevant construction and engineering experience
  • Experience in claims as a Senior QS, Project QS, or Senior Consultant
  • Familiarity with dispute proceedings
  • Knowledge of contracts like NEC, JCT, and FIDIC
  • Experience with industry applications such as BCIS, Cost-X, CEMAR
  • Proven ability to lead claims negotiations
  • Strong report writing skills
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
  • Master’s degree in construction law or similar (highly preferred)
  • Chartership (MRICS, MInstCES) or working towards it (desirable)
