WSP in London is seeking an experienced Associate Director with a mechanical bias and a strong background in net zero carbon and sustainable design. You will lead high-profile, design-led projects and help grow the client base while delivering innovative, low-carbon buildings.

You will work closely with clients, developers and architects, supervise design teams, and share knowledge across the global WSP network to advance net zero strategies and sustainable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical, sustainable building design from concept to technical design stages.
• Detailed understanding of operational energy calculations (TM54 / NABERS) and their application in design.
• Chartership through CIBSE/IET/IMechE Engineering Council preferred or equivalent honours degree.

Responsabilités

• Produce high-quality, industry-leading building designs on UK projects.
• Support and grow WSP’s net zero carbon strategy by delivering low-carbon buildings.
• Share knowledge and skills with colleagues across the global WSP network.
• Work with clients, developers, contractors and architects to build relationships and secure commissions.
• Supervise detailed designs and guide junior engineers, maximizing learning across the team.
• Be the client’s key point of contact and contribute to day-to-day management and leadership.
• Develop client relationships to promote new commissions.
