Job summary

WSP, a leading global engineering professional services consultancy, seeks an associate director with a strong background in mechanical, sustainable building design for our London office. You will drive high-quality designs on landmark projects while advancing net zero carbon commitments and collaborating with a global team.

You will work in a hybrid London-based role, engaging clients and leading design teams to deliver innovative, low-carbon solutions that shape the city’s skyline.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical, sustainable buildings design from concept to technical design.
• Detailed understanding of operational energy calculations (TM54 / NABERS).
• Working knowledge of Revit MEP or similar 3D design tools.
• Chartership through CIBSE/IET/IMechE Engineering Council preferred or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality, industry leading building designs for UK projects.
• Support and grow WSP’s net zero carbon strategy by delivering sustainable, low carbon buildings.
• Collaborate with colleagues globally to share knowledge and tackle complex projects.
• Engage with clients, developers, contractors and architects to build relationships and win commissions.
• Supervise detailed designs and mentor junior team members.
