Job summary

Turner & Townsend is expanding its Engineering Consultancy team in the UK, seeking an Associate Director Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical and MEP consultancy across multiple sectors.

You will act as Project Director on major commissions, drive delivery, risk & quality assurance, and mentor engineers while developing client relationships across the UK and Europe. A Chartered Engineer or progression toward one is preferred.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading mechanical building services consultancy projects.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and client relationships.
• Strong understanding of sustainability, decarbonisation, and ESG strategies.
• Experience with asset management, due diligence, and lifecycle costing.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for mechanical engineering services.
• Lead delivery of MEP consultancy projects across sectors.
• Act as Project Director and technical lead on major commissions.
• Drive business development and grow existing client relationships.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to recruitment and talent development.
• Ensure financial performance, risk management, and QA processes.
