Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Associate Director Electrical & Power Monitoring for Data Centres to lead EPMS/PMS design across multiple data centre projects in the UK. The role involves leading design, coordinating with contractors and clients, and delivering robust electrical monitoring solutions.

You will work within a collaborative team of electrical and building services engineers, balancing office-based work with on-site and travel to client sites as required, with hybrid work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Professional accreditation with IET or CIBSE preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and data centre design principles.
• Experience leading and delivering EPMS/ PMS design across architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and oversee contractor implementation of EPMs systems, ensuring client needs, regulatory requirements and sustainability goals are met.
• Engage with stakeholders at all levels, including clients, architects, M&E teams, contractors and senior management, building strong relationships and providing expert advice.
• Manage complex projects from inception to delivery: feasibility studies, specifications, tender management, cost and bid analysis, progress reporting.
• Conduct system surveys, FAT/SAT testing, and provide clear reports, recommendations and training to optimize performance.
• Drive business development, mentor the EPMS/PMS team, manage knowledge sharing, and contribute to innovation in smart building technologies.
• Promote SH&E best practices and ensure compliance while fostering a safety culture.
